1. IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE!
I just got my very first copy of my book
...But I Might Need It Someday! hot off the press
(and Fed Ex truck) last night!
If you want a book that finally spells out
the basics of organizing in an easy-to-read,
realistic and fun style, then ...But I Might
Need It Someday! is for you. Whether you've
read tons of books about how to get organized
or this is your first, it will be the last
book on organizing you'll ever need to read.
You have nothing to lose but the clutter!
The publisher is making it available for sale right
away, so you can visit www.kreamerconnect.com to
order
NOW. It will be "published" and available
on
www.Amazon.com, wwww.barnesandnoble.com, and in
your
favorite bookstore in about 30 days.
I have 500 copies on their way to me that should
arrive
in 5-7 business days. If you'd like to reserve an
advanced
copy, send a blank email to bookorders@kreamerconnect.com.
You will instantly receive an email with a credit
card order
form that you can print and fax to 412-344-3253.
If you
would like to pay by check or money order, you can
print
and mail it to the address on the form.
A secure server will be in place by the publication
date.

2. EXCUSE, OBSTACLE, OR REASON?
Excerpted from "...But I Might Need It Someday!"
by Patty Kreamer
OBSTACLE: 4.
YOU HAVE THE WRONG TYPE OF STORAGE
This can mean many things, not the least of which
is broken or defective storage. For example, if
you have a file cabinet that is difficult to use
(the drawers stick or don't open all the way), you
are not likely to file on a regular basis.
Another type of incorrect storage can be a cute
storage
container that you bought on impulse-a clutterer's
major
foe. Once you get it back to the house or office,
you set it down, maybe attempt to use it, and realize
that it has no place in your life (but it is so
cute).
Slowly, you realize that it wasn't what you NEEDED
but
rather what you WANTED. By now, you have lost the
receipt
and figure "BUT I MIGHT NEED IT SOME DAY,"
so you
stick it in a closet or the garage or basement.
That
storage container now becomes new clutter.
I can just see you shaking your head, wondering
how
I know this has happened to you. This is not an
uncommon occurrence.
BEHAVIOR TUNE-UP
Be sure to have working storage options. Invest
$100
in a quality file cabinet. It is worth the money
to
relieve the stress of looking at piles of unfiled
paperwork!
Try to avoid using storage that will involve another
step in the organizing process. For example, if
you
are going to use containers that stack, be sure
that
you have easy in-and-out access. Inevitably, the
one
that you need is always at the bottom of the stack,
which may make using it inconvenient. To sidestep
this problem, build shelves to house each container.
Another way to avoid having the wrong type of storage
is to know what you NEED before you go to the store.
Not only will it save you space, but money as well!
